What’s up World Race Family?!

This is so crazy. I am doing this. 11 months long. Oh my word, I am so excited!

WHO IS KIM? WHO AM I?

How do I even begin to introduce myself? Who is Kim? How do I answer that? Okay starting with the basics:

I am from San Diego, California! I am a San Diego State University Alumni with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have two sisters and a brother whom I love A LOT. I love sports, especially Football. I am adventure crazy, I love seeking thrilling adventure! The ocean is my LOVE, I feel the most alive in the water. I spent three years of my childhood in Germany, then the rest of my life in San Diego where I have found life long friends whom I love dearly. I love to laugh and have fun, a lot. Laughing seriously is the BEST medicine. I love children. I love encouraging and empowering them to realize how special and loved they are.

You might think okay Kim, cool I know about you…but who are you? I wanna know about your heart. (I don’t know if I am loving this third person dialogue…)

Okay well, I am first and foremost a LOVED child of God who is created PERFECTLY and INTENTIONALLY. That sentence has been a work in progress for me to be able to confidently type and will continue to be, more on that later! I have fallen more and more in love with the Lord as I have grown.

My number one passion in life is probably helping others see how deeply loved and cherished they are by our Father. It’s Christmas time and the song that is on my mind a lot is O Holy Night. I love the lyric that says “‘Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.” That lyric sums up what my heart is most passionate about. I want every soul to feel its worth!

This journey is such an amazing opportunity. I want to expand my knowledge of God and his kingdom and serve Him. I just want to serve Him. A good friend of mine always says, “my life is not my own.” I am only where I am and who I am today because of God’s unfathomable grace and love. I want to spread his grace and love to the world. I want everyone to have the chance to know who God is. I have a lot to learn, but I know that with the Lord I lack nothing. Thank goodness he is always with me, I fall short all the time.

When people ask about me, I will tell them things that describe me. But if you are asking about what defines me, it is the grace that is greater than all my sin. It is the love of God displayed through His Son that He sent to die for me. It is the fact that He is enough when I am not. It’s just Him. He defines me. And I cannot wait to serve Him through the World Race.

Thank you Lord!
