This blog is a wee bit late but hey better late than never right?!

As of Nepal, Team Scraps is no longer. Every few months, or when our leadership feels it is time to switch things up a bit, we change teams and get the opportunity to meet and spend time with different people on the squad. I wanted to take a minute, however, and thank these amazing women I am proud to call my friends. I had the privilege of spending the first four months of the Race with them and couldn’t have been happier. It wasn’t all sunshine and daises, it was real, raw, vulnerable but oh so fun and worth it!

So needless to say it was a bittersweet ending. On one hand I was excited to get to meet, grow, learn, laugh, experience and live with new people but on the other hand I was going to miss my Scraps. We spent the first four months together. Tried to figure out this thing called the World Race together, learned about ourselves, each other, God and each country we were in. We’ve had so many amazing opportunities and I can honestly say these women helped shape me into a better human being. They have loved me, cried with me, laughed with me so hard we couldn’t breathe, challenged me, encouraged me and so many other things. They have seen every side of me and I mean EVERY SIDE! Yea this ain’t always so pretty. But through it all they have taught me most about the love of Christ, what it means to be loved by others, to receive His love poured out onto me by Him through them. They have been His vessels and did an amazing job at it. I have been able to experience what it means to have a community and tribe, no matter what y’all they have had my back.

As we each go into our new teams, thank you Grace, Jewel, Victoria and Naomi (for the first two months) for each being on my first team! I am taking so much into my new team. There are too many memories to count and I thank you guys for that.

We are Team Scraps! Once a Scraps, always a scrap!

Love you guys!
