As I was watching a show off of Netflix about a month ago and I heard the line, “You cannot lose that which you are” and I was shaken to my core. How often do I forget who I am in Christ? As I go about my daily business how often do I get discouraged, frustrated, scared or get caught up in my daily life that I forget to step back and see the bigger picture. I was created for more than living from day to day, I was created for eternity! As I have been praying and trying to find all that the bible says I am, here are just a few examples of what I found in the bible:
- God gave His only Son with You in mind!
- You are loved
- You are chosen
- You are known
- You are redeemed
- You are beautiful
- You are forgiven
- You are set free
- You are seen
- You are made in God’s image
- You are adopted
- You are called by name
- You are given a new life
- Your sins are washed away
- You are white as snow
- You have been given the fruits of the spirit
- You have been given gifts
- You are light
- You are a child of God
- You were given truth
- You have the Holy Spirit living inside of you
- You are protected
- You have the blood of the lamb running over you
- You are healed
- You have been given an eternal life
- Your name was written in the lambs book
- You have been given grace
- You are blessed
- You are born again
- You are compassionate
- You are courageous
- You are able
- You are fierce
- You are tender
- You have been made clean
- You are part of a covenant
- You are a disciple
- You are a missionary
- You are an example of God’s precious love
- You are part of a family
- You are peace
- You have been given perfect peace
- You are a promise
- You have a Redeemer who lives
- You have been given salvation
- You have a relationship with Jesus
- You have wisdom
So as you go about your day, don’t forget WHOSE YOU ARE. You are a son and daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Great I Am that created the Heavens and the Earth cares about you. He knows you and has called you by name. You were not and are not a mistake. You are enough and you are perfectly whole in every way. Today I am setting my eyes, ears, body and soul on Jesus and what was already done for me but also what continues to be done in and through me. I will declare His glory today and always. I life my eyes to heaven and shout for the Glory of the Lord is alive and is moving. I can see it in the changing of seasons, hear Him in the wind and see His heart in the ones created in His image.
