Hello there! It’s been a while since my last post…seven months, in fact!
A lot can happen in seven months. In my case I feel as if life hasn’t slowed down for a moment since stepping off the plane onto US soil, first Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and now the start of 2019!
Something new to me this year is my acceptance to a ministry school in Redding, California!
This is Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, which is connected to Bethel church, and Bethel Music. Now, don’t be freaked out by the word “supernatual” because as Christians, we are constantly interacting with a beyond-natural God, so this is the life we live (supernatual).
“Okay, but what is this school about?” You might ask.
Well, Bethel School is essentially discipleship. The purpose being to equip believers to live out their God given purpose. In this school there will be a focus on identity as a child of God, and what that means for me specifically (ie: what my specific purpose is). In addition our curriculum involves bible study, outreach, and community groups.
I personally view Bethel school as being preparation for me, preparation for living out my purpose. Much like Noah, in the Bible, I don’t fully know what I’m building or what I am building it for. I imagine someone coming up to Noah and asking him what he was building, the answer: “I don’t know”. Then they ask “well, what are you building it for?” the answer: “rain, but don’t ask me what that is because I have no idea”. I may not have the full picture of what the Lord is leading me into, but I know I’m following him.
It’s been a dream of mine to go to this school, something I honestly didn’t know I wanted until three years ago while having a conversation with my co-worker I said “I hope the Lord calls me to Bethel one day”. Since that moment I’ve been waiting, listening to the Lord for the prompting of when.
So, August of 2019 I will move to Redding, CA to begin my classes!
From now, until August I will be raising funds for my 2019-2020 school year, totaling to $4,500 as tuition. I know so many of you contributed to my World Race, and I am so beyond thankful! Because if it wasn’t for your generosity, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
This time around I am approaching fundraising in a FUN way! I will be selling handmade weavings, serving families by cleaning houses, and selling healthy ready-made meals. All profits going to my tuition at Bethel School.
