The moment we stepped off the plane in Malawi we were greeted with a warm breeze, and the beautiful sun shining on us. As we waited in line for customs, the open-air Airport allowed us to hear the rustling of the leaves in the breeze with the sweet smell of grass being cut. Welcome to Africa.
Once we were through the airport we met our host for this month. Moses is his name, he is appropriately our first impression of this country. As we traveled to our ministry location Moses proceeded to tell us cultural expectations for Malawi, one of the first things he told us was that Malawi is the warm heart of Africa. This has proven to be true we have been here for 5 days now, and everywhere we go we are met with warm hearts and smiles.
This month we will be teaching kindergarten, doing home visits, and street evangelism. Malawian people are also people of peace, so I am looking forward to connecting and making deep relationships this month! God is good!
