Races have have finish lines. My life does not. I will never arrive, or reach a finish. The World Race is not an arrival, or even a peak to which I will have reached the climax of my life. The World Race is training; This life is training, and we are all in training for eternity. I am, however, a racer. I race into my Father’s arms, I compete against the “impossible”, and because of Christ I am a conquer.
You may be saying: Okay, Kenadi. I get it, but seriously what in the WORLD is the World Race?
Well, The World Race is a program that sends out those whom God has called into many different countries that are partnered with this program. I will be participating in this program, and I will be visiting 11 different countries in 11 months. We will spend 1 month in each country. I will be joined with a “squad” of people, we will all be traveling together, experiencing this life together.
Beginning in October I will be visiting Bosnia/Serbia, Albania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. In these countries we will be participating with already active local ministries, meeting practical needs, and loving on people. I don’t know all that the Lord will have me doing in this time, but I do know that I can trust him wherever he leads me.
This opportunity is the manifestation of something the Lord has had on my heart for a long time. The desire to know God more has challenged me to live by faith, and not by sight. In order for this trip to be a possibility I will need $17,617.00. This is the total cost of food, lodging, and travel expenses for the duration of the trip. This amount will also cover insurance cost, and a time of debriefing after I return to the U.S.. Both prayer and financial support is needed. Here is a rough break down of monthly giving that would meet the goal of 17,617.00. I would need:
18 people @ $100 a month or
35 people @ $50 a month or
70 people @ $25 a month
*These numbers are based off of 10 months of giving, with January 2018 being the last giving month.*
