7:30am: wake up, CHRISTMAS… a 87 degree Christmas
8:00am: homemade cinnamon rolls made by Matt (Donny Cole) Coleman and some tasty hot chocolate, verdict; DELISH
10:00am: Secret Santa Gift Opening!!!!! wow so much fun and such sweet gifts all under $15 wow go us!!
11:00 am: Sockings!!! We put out a sock and wrote a nice letter to put in everyones sock, we later opened our socks and received SOOO many sweet letters. Really warmed my heart especially being away from my famo, these letters were so encouraging!
12:00pm: the one and only KATE GOELER (my squad mentor that I love ever so dearly) surprised Team Kairos and Team Abundance!!! with chocolate too!!!! praise him
1:00pm: Water Assassin, what.a.game. what.a.blast. It was so much fun AND way refreshing while being in the HOT HOT HOT african sun
2:30pm: girls workout sesh (no days off amiright)
4:00pm: Dinna, homemade pizza by the italy trained Donny Cole, heaven in your mouth I must say.
5:00-8:30pm: out to grab wifi to chat with our families, and I must say my family ROCKS. I got to hear my brother play guitar on his brand new guitar!!! I really really missed hearing the beautiful sound Con makes. Hands down one of the most gifted people I know! Got to chat with my crazy cool amazing mother and papa elf(my dad).
9:00pm: CELEBRATE JESUS! We sang Happy Birthday and ate glup (my Nana’s recipe: brownies mixed with peanut butter and ice cream all stirred together in a baking pan) Twas a success too!
This Christmas was for sure out of tradition unlike any Christmas I have ever had or will ever have. It was hard being away from my family, but Christ called me here to be with this family he has so graciously given me. My team and Team Kairos. I had a very merry Christmas this year despite being away from home. I hope you and your family did as well!
oh and thanks God for Jesus, don’t know what I would do without that man in my life!
