I’ve been living in Heidleburg, South Africa for about a week and a half now. We are living with a couple, Phil and Tanya, that are the Senior Pastors at Langeburg Christian Fellowship Church. The church also has a building on campus that is for Charis Bible College. So far, we have painted the church, done some organization, and attended the orientation for bible college. Our afternoons are mostly free for us to decide what to do. The second day we were here we were all sitting in the living room and heard little voices outside in our backyard. We went out and found Kailey, Suzanne and her sister Nike all playing net ball. They all welcomed us into the game and tried their best to explain it to us. Eventually they had to go to dinner and we all said our goodbyes. The girls have been back every single day since then and with even more friends every day. Something that’s really cool that was placed on my heart when I met these girls was discipleship. Although we haven’t sat down every day, they have come and read stories from the bible and we are reflecting God and setting an example for their lives. We are teaching them to pray before eating the lemon they picked as a snack. We are teaching them to dance and sing in beautiful and good ways. We are teaching them not to fight and say mean things when they get upset. We are setting the example for them and how cool is that? We are making an impact on their lives and having more kids show up each day to teach and make that impact…. So cool! Tonight, I ask that you pray for each child that I’ve met in Heidleburg, South Africa and every child I’ll meet. Kids are special and we should seriously pray each and every day for them; they need lots of prayers as they grow up into adults!!

With love
