Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving. We cooked dressing, chicken, potatoes, banana pudding, cobbler and all the yummy necessities you’d eat on Thanksgiving. As today went by, I had lots of time to think a lot deeper about things I was thankful for. Not just the normal usual things people say like family, friends and good health (which are all great things!!), but just deeper than that; things like how I got to where I am today, what my life looks like, and how I’m so thankful for that. Here are my thoughts about all of that!! As we sat down to eat at our super pretty, decorated table, Katie read the verse 1 Thessalosions 5:6-18 and suggested we all go around to say something we’re thankful for. It was very evident to me how thankful I am to be sitting in the moment and enjoying the little things in life, and how graciously our host welcomed us into their home with such open arms and hearts full of love. How extra thankful I am to be living in the community I am living in right now and in these next months. Community is such a big part of my life and right now I am surrounded in such a great community. A group of people that help me grow with the Lord, and I can help them do the same. Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays and I loved it this year so, so much. Being surrounded by the most genuine loving hearts that want nothing but the best for me. That’s exactly what I’m thankful for!!
