One of the questions we are most often asked as we travel the world doing ministry is: “Which country has been your favorite?”
AND IT’S SUCH A HARD QUESTION TO ANSWER!
Each country we’ve been too has afforded us different experiences, opportunities for new friendships, and totally diverse ways of sharing the Gospel. It’s so hard to pinpoint a “favorite” because it’s kind of like comparing apples to oranges.
So while we still haven’t settled on a “favorite” country (and probably never will), there are months on the World Race that definitely stick out to us “the best months”. These are the places we loved in more ways that we can count. And one of those places was Ethiopia.
Ethiopia was one of our favorite months because we partnered with an organization called HOPEthiopia, and lived on a compound with lots of kids. There were constantly opportunities to invest in them by playing soccer, teaching English, sharing the Gospel, and hanging out with them in their homes each day. No matter how much time passes, Ethiopia–especially the children at HOPEthiopia–will always hold a special place in our hearts.Unfortunately, we can’t share much with you guys beyond the stories, pictures and videos we have from our time there. However, there is one thing we DO have an opportunity to share with you—COFFEE!!
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and locals take pride in that. They even have a special coffee ceremony that they do, and we got to take part in one while we were living there! Kaydan made a video of that day last year, so if you want a blast from the past, check it out:
During our time on the field this year with R-Squad, we started in West Africa and transitioned into Asia. On our way to Asia, we just so happened to have a layover in ….drumroll…..

And while we were there we were able to snag a couple of bags of Ethiopian Coffee. The very same Ethiopian coffee we drank while we were there. This stuff is the real deal;)

We are looking to GIVE AWAY two bags of Ethiopian coffee this month!
As you know, we are only $1,013 away from being FULLY FUNDED, and we have just a little over one month left on the field. We thought this would be a creative way to raise the last bit of support we need, but at the same time give some of you the chance to experience a little bit of what Ethiopia tastes like!
