Lately our ministry has been a lot of sharing the gospel and what it means to us. Here is a short message that I wrote to share with some of the people I had met at house churches. And I wanted to share it with you guys as well. It’s an easy way to share the gospel and to let people know what we, as Christians, believe in.
God’s design- we as Christians believe that our Heavenly Father created the earth in 7 days. He is the one who created the sky, the birds that sing, and humans. God designed everything that we have here on earth.
Sin- but there was one day where sin came into the world and damaged the Beautiful creation that God had made. In the Bible, it talks about two people named Adam and Eve. One day, they disobeyed God and the law that He laid out before them. Sin is something we do that we know that we shouldn’t do but we do it anyway.
Brokenness- because of the sin that we have in this world, there is brokenness that comes from it. Some things could be self-image: you look at yourself in a different way because of the pain that you’re going through. Another example could be unhealthy relationships: you turn to others because of the pain you’re going through. We use things to get rid of the pain that is taking place in our life. Some people turn to alcohol and drugs.
Repent and believe-
But over 2000 years ago a man named Jesus Christ died for us! He died for our sins. He said, “I will take away the pain, the sorrow, and the worrying. All you have to do is believe in me and trust that I am who I say I am.”
Gospel-
That is what we call the gospel. We believe that Jesus Christ created the heavens and the earth, knowing that there was going to be brokenness in the world, so that He could send His one and only Son down to earth to take away all this pain that we have that we go through.
Recover & pursue-
So today if you want to, believe that Jesus is your Heavenly Father and that He believes in you and that He loves you in the midst of your brokenness just the way you are. You can choose today to believe in Him. It’s simple and easy. You don’t have to do anything but choose into Him.
