For about 3 weeks, my teammate Abby and I were on a work out streak. Abby and I eventually gave up, but when the kids had a day off school, they would join us in our work outs. The kids were so joyful to be working out with us.Over 9 kids live in this small room. Some of the bunk beds are not stable enough to sleep in, so the boys squeeze 4 of them on a small floor mat. (They also like to hide stuff under there bed mat) In case you where wondering what a squaty potty looked like (where I go to the bathroom)  This is our host family’s kitchen. They currently house 11 children, as well as taking on my team of 7. It is mind blowing how the wife can cook meals to feed 20 plus people, with just these supplies. Despite the sistuation, Kavita is such a calm, sweet, loving lady, and is always willing to make me a glass of Chai.

Every day after school, around 5pm, the boys go outside to take their bath. They fill up buckets of water from the well and bathe outside using just a bar of soap.

Kavita is pictured here making us chai tea or making us food for the day. Everyday she cooks 3 meals for over 20 people.

Over 20 children would ride in this tuk tuk every single day to school. I would wake up early in the morning just to say good bye. Whenever I was just a little late, the boys would run up to my room to make sure that I said good bye to them.

My team and I went to a place called Hempee in India, where we spent a few days rock climbing and mountain biking. We also got to visit a monkey temple. This picture is of me at the top of a mountain.

This is Kavita, and she was our 2nd host in India. She was amazing. She brought so much light to my life she would take care of us when we were sick. She would ask me if I wanted Chai tea almost every time she saw me. She reminded me a lot of my grandma wilth just her giving heart. She also loved to braid my hair. On Christmas, I had the opportunity to give out traditional sarees to the poor people in India. It was so cool to be able to bless them in this way. Grace, the women with the microphone, was our host at the time, and she needed about 55 more Sarees to give out. We contacted people back home and were able to raise the money to purchase them!My team and I spent an adventure weekend at Hempee, where we slept under these bug nets.Every moring the boys wake up to brush their teeth outside before they head to school.

Every moring the boys wake up around 6 am to read there bible, brush there teeth, and eat breakfast. This is one of the boys getting water for the family.
