I’ve been reflecting on my Race pretty often lately. I know that this season will be ending soon and my mind is struggling to grasp it all. I have been to 11 different countries with 11 different ministries and built relationships with 11 different groups of people. Pretty soon I will be back home in DeLand, FL figuring out my new normal. As I think about the past 11 months, I realize that I learned so much about myself and God’s character. In each country and its ministry, the Lord worked in my heart to teach and remind me of His goodness.
**I would love love LOVE to share with you in more detail about how the Lord worked in my life each month. Each month comes with several different stories and experiences that would take forever to write out. I can’t wait to share them all with each of you!**
INDIA
I am worthy and adequate.
Romans 8:17 “Now if we are children, then we are heirs- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may share in his glory.”
NEPAL
God speaks to me and pursues me.
Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
THAILAND
I am capable.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advanced for us to do.”
CAMBODIA
There is so much more to God’s character.
Jeremiah 29:11-12 “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”
VIETNAM
God is everywhere. He works through all conversations. God is love.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
ETHIOPIA
God is light. He overpowers the darkness.
John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
RWANDA
God is working in my family and community back at home.
Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
BOLIVIA
God is my source of joy. He always fights for His children.
Isaiah 55:9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
PERU
Jesus gives in abundance.
Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
ECUADOR
I am called to live a life on missions.
Galations 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
COLOMBIA
Community is a wonderful and beautiful thing.
2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
