Our ministry this month is working at an English Center and it is amazing!  Our days have been busy with teaching English to some of the Vietnamese staff, reading to the kids before class, tutoring some of the students, and spreading little bits of kindness to the staff throughout the day.

Twice a week, I get to teach English to 3 Vietnamese women. I look forward to this time every week, it is so fun getting to spend time with them.  We play several fun games that help them learn and practice their English. The last 15-20 minutes of class, we have a topic discussion that gets them practicing English but also allows us to sneak the gospel into the discussion. Since Vietnam is a closed country, we have to be extra careful. Thankfully, our host is wonderful and already has gotten the approval for us to talk about Jesus and share bible verses in our classes!

This last class, our topic discussion was about LOVE. We talked about what love is and what it isn’t. We talked about who we need to love, such as friends and family. We talked about if we needed to love our enemies as well.  They looked around at each other for a minute and then said “I don’t know” or “They are not nice to me so I don’t think about them.” It was the perfect entrance to talk about why I believe we should love our enemies too! We got to share some bible verses such as 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and John 3:16. I also got share a little bit of my testimony focusing on forgiveness and love. I love being able to talk with these women and learn more about their beliefs and values while sharing the gospel throughout the week. I pray for my relationship with these women and that hearts would be opened this month.

Also, team changes happened! I am so thankful for every single person on my Overflow team, it was a great 4 months!

Now I am on team ZION with 5 other wonderful people that I get to do life with for the next few months and I am pumped!  Subscribe to their blogs:
