The month of November and the month of December my team and I are living here and Honduras. We are living on top of a mountain inside a school called loyalty school. Last month my team and I did manual labor as our ministry. We did many different things throughout the month. We shoveled lots of dirty, we leveled a road, we picked up trash, we hacked down tall grass. We also got to go out a couple times last month and got to do evangelism around where we live on the mountain. Those were both really awesome experiences. Last month was full of lots of laughter and joy. The lord walked and is still walking me through a season of full dependence on Him and who He says He is. The month of November my body was very ill in many different ways. I had many rashes, the typical stomach bugs and what not. I also had 3 very bad infections. All in all my body was just fighting a lot and through that the Lord has been teaching me what it looks like to walk in faith and seeing the good in the bad. He has been showing me how sometimes the unexpected happens and He is still good. God’s goodness doesn’t change just because something that isn’t ideal happens. He has been really revealing to me that He is still good and He is still faithful despite the unexpected.
The month of December will look a little different from last month. This month my team and I will switch with the other team that we live with and we will become the teachers here at loyalty school. This month I will become a third grade teacher. I have a class of 4 kid. They are super energetic and they love recess. Who doesn’t love recess!! So throughout this month I will be their full time teacher and I will teach all subjects to them except their Spanish class. The children are so fun. They love to run! This month the students also will get to be in a Christmas play and! I am very excited for whatever the Lord has in store for this month of ministry!! The lord has ignited a fire in me that is ready to keep teaching answer ready to go hard all month long! Before I began I was a little apprehensive because I am not a teacher but I have to adapt and make myself one!! All and all I am so excited to continue to teach the rest of this month and get to grow better relationships with the people here!
Thank you everyone for following this crazy journey that the lord has brought me on! God is so good all the time.
