Dear Future Kasie,

I don’t know what you are doing with your days. I don’t know what year it is or where you are. I don’t know anything about your future self. But I do know a lot about your past self. I know a lot about the things that you struggle with. The things that bother you and even the things you cant talk about. Up to this point anyway.

I pray that you have overcome those things. That you have accepted them, dealt with them and moved on. I pray that you are at a point in your life where you are putting God first. A place in life where you are happy and thriving. I pray that you are all you ever dreamed that God could turn you into. I pray that you have taken the world by storm and that you have shared the love of Jesus to the nations. I pray for you everyday.

Tonight, sitting on this bed, on your last night before debrief in Guatemala; I pray for the next ten months. I pray that you took the opportunity to grow in everyway you could. I pray that you took chances and stepped out of your comfort zone. I pray that you became vulnerable with your team, that you stretched yourself in your uncomfortableness, and I pray that you asked and answered the hard questions.

God put before you a life changing opportunity and I pray that you took it. Present self knows that its hard, because I’m living it now. But I pray that you (we or I) were able to overcome the hard times with God by your side. Because I want to know you. I want to know who you are and how you were able to overcome the things we are dealing with now.

More than all of that, my biggest prayer for you, is that you are strong in your faith. I pray that you have grown in the Lord, that you have opened up and are letting Him lead you. I pray that you seek Him in every decision that you make. I pray that you allowed this year to change you. That you allowed God to change you. And I pray that you keep searching for more. More love, more kindness, more growth and more God.

Much love future me,

Past Kasie.
