Thank You for Helping Me Move. God called me. He sent me. And through you, He has moved me from Katy, Texas, to the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Botswana (and hopefully to South Africa, the Philippines and beyond). Because you answered the Lord with a, “Yes”, and financially supported me, I have been able to spend over three months serving the Lord abroad.
Because you supported His ministry, through supporting me, we have been able to host countless bible clubs for children in each country. We’ve sung every song we can remember from our own childhood Sunday school days, jumped roped until our feet ache, played barefoot games of duck duck goose/ snake snake hippo/ puta puta gonza (depending on the language), and acted in various bible story skits. We walked up mountain sides to bring the gospel to men and women trapped in a culture of false teaching. We spent afternoons painting elderly women’s fingernails, singing, dancing and praying with them. We sung in creole with a Haitian church choir and did our very best to make a joyful noise to the Lord. We put together presentations to help fight sex tourism and sex trafficking, which we have seen with our own eyes. We sat down with women from a community that women are seen as possessions, and reminded them of who they in Christ, valued in the Lord and delighted in, as precious daughters. We had spontaneous conversations of the Lord on the street, in a store, at a bus stop, with strangers and proclaimed the name of Jesus. We completed work projects, ranging from laying the foundation of a home for women rescued from sex trafficking, to building Elephant proof borders on our hosts land. We pursued creative love, working to encourage and bless the missionaries, our hosts, that lead us while we stay with them. God has moved.
I do not say all of these things to draw attention to me or my team. I say these things recognize all that God has done through us, and through His power. I say these things, because He is worthy of praise, even for the smallest accomplishments. He uses the weaknesses of myself, my team, humans, to bring glory to His name. And I am here, because you decided to support the ministry.
In about two weeks, I will need to have raised all of my finances for World Race. Currently, I am extremely close, about $2,500 away from being fully funded. Looking at the total $14,951 I had to raise, I am blown away by how the Lord has provided. Thank you all. There are no feelings of anxiety or doubt about funding, because I know the Lord is fully in control. However, I want to be wise, proactive, and responsible. I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider making a donation to my Race, to consider supporting this ministry further. You have gotten me here, and I will not ever be able to accurately communicate how grateful I am for every single cent and prayer. Thank you for helping me move from the U.S. to all of these countries I have called home the last few months. Help me move some more : )
