If you’ve paid any attention to my life in the last ten months (If you’re reading this, I suppose you have.), then you’ll know that last August, I left for an 11 month mission trip. I’m now on month 10. My trip is coming to end in less than 60 days. I’ll be coming home in June but my journey is far from over.

This journey is called life- more specifically, it is life with Jesus.

For the past 10 months, and even before that, I’ve walked hand in hand with Jesus and that journey doesn’t end when I step off of that plane in the United States. That journey doesn’t end when I start school again or when I have a family of my own. This journey is my life and it will last for the rest of my time on this Earth and then continue in Heaven.

It won’t always be easy but Jesus walks beside me in Moldova just as He does in Texas.

The World Race has been a “pause,” of sorts, in my life. it has been a time of personal growth and development but is not a part of my professional career development. It has been a much needed “pause” that has equipped me to continue on this journey. Leaving “normal life” for 11 months has allowed me to experience God in a new way- free from distraction. What I’ve discovered is that God has always been there, I just hadn’t noticed.

Going home is simply a new adventure, a new step in this journey called life. It’s month 12 and then month 13, month 14, and so on- the World Race may be winding down but this journey is far from over.

So, as I sit here in Moldova in month 10, I’m just as ready to learn and grow as month 1. I don’t ever want to stop pursuing the Lord. Whether it be my last day on the race, my first day of vet school, or the day I get married, I want to wake up every day and walk hand in hand with Jesus.

This month, we have the opportunity to work on a farm with an amazing family in northern Moldova, very close to the Ukrainian border (we walked there today actually). They have an adorable baby boy named Nik and he is about to turn one! We also have the opportunity to help with English Club at the church and hang out with some of the girls from the village. Please pray that we are able to share the love of Jesus with these sweet girls every time we meet.
