After leaving Cusco and traveling for five days, we arrived in Southeast Asia yesterday morning! We are excited to get started and already love our home and all the people we have met. We have wifi at our home this month so I will be blogging more often and more available if you need to get in touch with me. Speaking of which, we are now 13 hours ahead of Texas time so if you wanna know what the future is like, give me a call!

Now comes the part of the blog that I don’t really want to talk about- the part about money. I’ve avoided it for the most part thus far but now, I can’t wait any longer.

I need help.

My final funding deadline is quickly approaching. I need about $2,000 more to reach the total amount I need for my trip. I am pretty close and I have really been trying to trust the Lord to provide but, as the end of November approaches, I am getting more and more anxious about this impending deadline. And, I’m not the only one in the same situation. My teammates Paxtyn, Kenna, and Lyndsee are all still fundraising as well. So, I want to ask you to pray.

Pray for us to be confident that the Lord has called us to be here and that He will provide for ALL of our needs- including the financial ones. I’m not asking for donations, I am asking for prayers. The power of prayer is something that I think we often overlook in difficult circumstances. In a way, this means that we don’t trust that the Lord will provide for us. We ask Him for things in our prayers but we often pray without belief. We don’t pray boldly knowing that the Lord will answer our prayers. In John 14:13, Jesus says “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it.”

I want to pray boldly and confidently, knowing that the Lord will provide. And that is where you can help my teammates and me. Please pray with us for funding but more so, pray for us to pray bold and confident prayers. If, after praying, the Lord is calling you to give, either to one of my teammates or to me, you’ll know. You can find all of my teammates listed on the left side of this page and click on their blogs to donate. The Lord is our provider and I know that He will provide.
