Let me just tell you, the Lord dumped His bucket of blessings on me this month. Nepal has been incredible for the last 2 weeks.
So here’s 11 ways the Lord has shown me how much He loves me this month, all of which I’m so very thankful for:
1. My team: I get to laugh constantly and also be challenged a bunch. And I just love being around them!
2. Slums: We go to 2 slums every day and they are awesome and we love on kids and sing and play and it is some of the best ministry I’ve had on the race.
3. Teaching English: We also get to teach English at a women’s center and I LOVE it! These women are so beautiful and we have so much fun! Also some of the best ministry I’ve had on the race.
4. Liaisons: We have 2 liaisons that lead us around everywhere and they are awesome! (Shoutout to Sumi & Lazarus)
5. Community: Our host has invited us into this beautiful community that we get to be a part of for our time here.
6. Space: We have a 4 story house and there’s so much space! So, when I want to be alone, I can actually do that! (For the 1st time in 8 months:)
7. International Church: There’s a Church that’s in English and it is just a bunch of other missionaries and people living in Nepal. It has been so much fun to attend.
8. Walking: We get to walk quite a bit everyday and it’s so nice to have that time to think and to feel some exercise!
9. A Busy Schedule: This has been a huge blessing. We are busy from 7:30 am – 6 pm and as tiring as it is, it’s what I needed this month otherwise I’d just be dreaming of coming home and not be present. But, because of this schedule I’ve been so present and thoroughly enjoying our time here.
10. Wi-fi: Getting to connect with people back home has been so nice! I love my people back home and now I get to talk to them every few days! We didn’t have any way of communicating for most of India, so having that now is awesome! Also, now I get to talk to my baby sister as she’s finishing High School and I’ll get to FaceTime during her graduation!
11. Nature: There are some cool flowers here and I love seeing them as we walk everywhere! And Mountains! We are living in the foothills of the Himalayas and we have a gorgeous panorama of mountains from our roof and the sunsets are stunning!!
