Mother
The first thing I want to say is Thank You. Thank you for working your butt off every day and doing two jobs so we could attend a private school and have a guaranteed college degree. Thank you for teaching me that I’m not a victim of my circumstance, I can choose who I am. Thank you for loving the four of us enough to fight with us and discipline us. Thank you for teaching me to guard my heart and not to wear it on my sleeve. Thank you for being fun and forcing me to play Just Dance and Rummy and other silly games. Thank you for always remembering to pick us up from practices and driving to and from the school 8 billion times a day. Thank you for letting us have people over every weekend and making them feel like your own kids. Thank you for making chocolate chip pancakes every Saturday morning and heating up the syrup (turns out no one does that but us:). Thank you for homeschooling us all those years and spending every waking (and a lot of the sleeping) moments with us and thank you for teaching Tyler math(someone had to;). Thank you for reading aloud tons of books to us. Thank you for supporting us in any endeavor. Thank you for telling us when we were endeavoring upon something stupid. Thank you for teaching me how to be a strong woman who loves the Lord and thank you for dragging me to church every Sunday. Thank you for our shopping sprees at the crappy Lynchburg mall. Thank you for your fun and goofy personality. Thank you for making my birthdays so special and agreeing to let me have 10 insanely loud and obnoxious girls over to the house year after year. Thank you for wanting such big things for me. Thank you for raising me to be loud and know I have a voice and I can change things with it. Thank you for teaching me that I can be anything and do anything. Thank you for making Christmas the best!! Thank you for giving me blond hair:). Thank you for spelling my name so ridiculously that no one ever guesses it right (cuz I love the way its spelled). Thank you for showing me how to truly relax on a beach! Thank you for encouraging us and never failing to tell us how much we matter. Thank you for quoting TV shows and movies and acting like the people in Friends are actually our friends. Thank you for never giving up on me and always fighting for me to do what’s right. Thank you for not letting me drop out of high school, as much as I wanted to. Thank you for letting me leave for 9 months and supporting me every day. Thank you for always praying for me and the rest of us. Thank you for just being the best. Thank you for all the things you did for us that I’m not even aware of.

The second thing I want to say is
I LOVE YOU!
Mom, Happy Mother’s Day!
