Imagine.. We are prayed out into the field – America. We are the first ever WorldRace America team. We load up the bus. We load up our stuff. We once again leave all the comforts of “Home” to follow this calling and stirring in our hearts. It’s not that we are seeking adventure or experience – it’s more than that. It’s a deep call to live, love and look like Jesus. It’s a hunger for the more of God – It’s our way of living Isaiah 6:8 out:
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” And he said, “Go, and say to this people..”
It’s us leaving with Faith, Hope, and Love expecting God to radically do something in us and through us. We leave as Matthew 10 shows:
”These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay. Acquire no gold or silver or copper for your belts, no bag for your journey, or two tunics or sandals or a staff, for the laborer deserves his food. And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. As you enter the house, greet it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.”
This will be a 2nd year movement for Alumni of the WordRace to partner up with other alumni who have come back home to love America. We want to encourage, support, equip, and motivate alumni WorldRacers to walk in the Kingdom. We hope to push them to be doers, goers, senders and hosts that will wake up the American Church. We have come to spur them on and minister alongside them in their communities. We want to love missionally after the one (the lowest, hurting, broken – much like Jesus) we want to spark revival by our love, we want to build Churches as we go. Our route in travel will be determined by the fellow alumni who are willing to partner with us. Who knows what God will ask us to do along the way? We will trust Him. We will tell His story. It will be a movement.
This is the first ever opportunity and effort to love America the same way we go and love the Nations. There’s a need to be missionaries here in America. We want to fill that gap and help create new ways for the American Church to become fully built up. We want to Evangelize and help connect people to the “Landing Zones” we are planning to build or already have established. The WorldRace already has “Landing Zones” which are a community of people to host Racers before they transition back into home life. It’s a place to readjust and reflect. The bigger picture, hope, dream and vision are for these “Landing Zones” to be future Church Plants.
This stirring and passion within the organization to reach America with the Gospel is BIG and we are going to figure out how do we do this. We are going to be pioneers and start a movement that we know will evolve into something much bigger.
I’m so excited that as I’ve followed Jesus this door has been opened and came up. God is doing so much in me and He wants to use me in the NOW while also preparing me for the FUTURE. Leaving to help start this path for 11 months, I believe is where God is leading me and I believe it’s a great next step into what God is doing in and for me.
I just wanted to share all this with you and I would love to see many of you all partner up with me through financial giving, prayer requests, following the journey through blogs and much more.
