We made it!!!!! We are safe and settled in Colombia!!
I have been loving every minute and moment of this trip. Meeting my 14 squadmates has been such a joy. I’m already best friends but they don’t know that yet! haha!
Today we did safety training and some other things but my favorite part was testimonies. Everybody got time to share their story and wow… These stories make me more ready! We are a bunch of broken people in love with Jesus Christ. Right from the start this group is getting real and vulnerable. There’s a hunger for the MORE of God like no other. I’m so ready for what’s next. I still feel unprepared and unqualified but the more I boast in my weakness the more Jesus is shown. My wealth is in the cross, there’s nothing more I need or want.
There has already been a movement within the group to encourage and pray for one another. There’s already movement of prophetic words and just totally vulnerbality about the pain and the shame we carry. I don’t think I have ever been more excited and ready to live on the road for 11 months with these 14 guys And girls. We will share our lives and the gospel as well.
There’s so much more to come but we are ready! The hope that we carry, the testimony about Jesus’ transforming and life giving love has changed us and is changing us. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans? ?1:16? ?NIV?? We are not ashamed. We are ready! I’m ready!
Even though I’m still lacking lots of sleep and feeling just exhausted my spirit Is flourishing! I have already been challenged, I have already cried, I have already shared the love of Christ, I have already heard His voice, and I have already been disciplined. Man.. I’m ready! I’m ready to experience the MORE of God by trusting Him where the Adventure Awaits.
