Hey Guys,
My name is Joshua Lett, I’m 20 years old. Mhmm… Introducing yourself is always easier in person than on paper (haha), or I guess the web since that’s what we are on… Anyways.. I’m so excited for this journey, and… I need your help. For this reason I want to share a little about myself. I’m the middle child of 3. I currently live with my Step-Dad and Mom in Pinehurst, North Carolina; I mean, save money while you can, right? I’m taking college classes towards my Bachelor’s in Divinity at a small Bible College called, Grace College of Divinity. I’m working part-time as a busser at the Pinehurst Resort. Before my parents got a divorce, we lived in Mexico for 10 years. My parents were missionaries. That in itself can explain a lot about me; I love the adventure of life with God. Living there I was blessed with the opportunity of learning Spanish. I hope to be able to use the language while on the World Race. I’m super excited for that! Naturally being a Christian people will ask you, “when did you get saved?” I’ll jokingly respond, “ummmm coming out of the womb.” In reality yes, I have my own personal testimony, but I say that to show how my life has been. I’ve been in love with Jesus from a very young age. I don’t think I have ever missed some sort of Sunday morning service or devotion time. I was that “Church Kid.” The one who knew the songs and knew the answers to questions whether or not they truly meant something to me at that time. I have experienced and seen a lot of things that others haven’t. God’s grace is truly amazing in that way. Just like all of us we have such crazy lives. Each of our lives are all so different, but we also share many commonalities; it’s the beauty of being made in God’s image. Since I grew up in Mexico I obviously learned to play soccer. It was my life all the way until high school where I found other interests that became more important. The drums!!! I love being able to play drums! Especially on a Sunday morning or night. It is truly a blessing. Then that led to Worship Leading and eventually that led to me speaking Messages at the Student Ministry that I’m a part of in leadership. My life at the moment consists of a lot of Homework and much time spent with high-schoolers. I truly love being a small group leader. All you really need to know about me is that I love Jesus and people so much. Naturally by doing those 2 things you end up loving Fast Food, Netflix, Concerts and much more. God has giving me a huge heart for His people and wants me to be a Shepherd. Since I was young I knew God wanted me to be a Pastor. God works in puzzle pieces, and I believe this next journey will be one that I’ll never forget. I believe I will fall in love with God all over again and see the beauty of life. This is a next step into the direction of my destiny.
