The time has come.
This is it.
In roughly 5 hours I will be home for the first time in 11 months.
My World Race journey is over.
But a journey with a new found purpose is just beginning.
As tempting as it may be to feel saddened about separating from the brothers and sisters I’ve made in the past year, I can’t help but to instead have an overwhelming feeling of excitement.
Excitement to be going home to see family.
Excitement to go home and catch up with life long friends.
Excitement to now, after a year of impacting communities around the world, go home and make an impact in my own community.
And Excitement to follow along with the new journey God has for everyone else in my squad and see the impact they will have in their hometowns and beyond.
Their is also some feeling of being overwhelmed.
Overwhelmed with gratitude for the blessing it’s been to be on this journey with so many awesome men and women of God.
Overwhelmed with thankfulness for all of you that have followed along and supported me throughout this journey.
And Overwhelmed with simply God’s goodness and His faithfulness.
Though the race is is officially over I’m going to keep blogging for at least another month. Some of which include some sponsor day updates, Costa Rica’s highlight video, and some counter culture shock processing that I am sure will hit me soon enough.
Thank you all so much for following along, looking forward to seeing a lot of you in person hopefully soon!
