In my final 25 days away from home I will be posting 5 blogs designed to answer questions a lot of you probably have about this 11 month journey and the soon transition home.
Blog Schedule:
25 days left: Answering the Question: Where are the highlight videos for months 7, 8 and 9?
20 days left: Answering 20 Questions about my world race experience.
15 days left: The 15 things I’m looking forward to the most about being home
10 days left: 10 Words to describe the 10 Countries I’ve been to
5 days left: My 5 favorite things about the World Race
Month 7: Thailand
Or host for the month, Sending Hope, will forever have a place in my heart. I still get chills as I made the video and as I’m typing this, reflecting on our time there. Combine this with having my parents come for a week as a part of AIM’s Parent Vision Trip, made Thailand easily my favorite month.
Month 8: Malaysia
Manistry #2: Before leaving on the World Race I really had the desire to partner with a sports ministry. In month 8 I got my wish, we partnered with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and we really got to focus on creating relationships through sport. Having the opportunity to play soccer, play/coach ultimate and make new brothers on a different world race squad (V squad) along the way, made this month a great way to close out our time in Asia.
Month 9: Panama
Having a route change and not being able to go to Nicaragua was personally challenging, as I was looking forward to Nicaragua the whole race. However, having a ministry partner in ICJesus with our hosts Danny and Heather Nelson made Panama special in its own right.
Month 10 & 11: Costa Rica
After praying about it some of us felt led to stay with our same ministry from mont 10 for month 11. I am super excited for this opportunity as it’s easily been one of my favorites. A highlight video for these months will come out at a later time but in the meantime I made a video about our experience of playing spikeball on monster hill.
For my next blog I will be answering 20 frequently asked questions about my world race experience. I have some questions in mind but would love to hear from you all about what questions you have. Please feel free to comment any questions you may have and I’ll answer them in my next blog!
