A couple weeks ago we had a conference called an Awakening. It’s an awesome thing AIM does whenever multiple squads routes overlap in the same country in the same month. This month B, E, F, and V squads were all in Thailand and the Awakening conference was a great opportunity to meet other racers, learn from them, and hear about their experiences on the race so far.
I was a member of the story telling team at awakening and the project I was involved in was creating an “a day in the life” video. The goal with this project was to capture what one day at awakening looked like from the perspective of a squad-mate.
I chose to follow around my squad mate Nettie Clawson. I chose to document her day in particular because she was one of the heads of the worship team. Also, she has one of the most bubbly and fun personalities I know. Hope you enjoy it!

Update: The girl in the back left of the taxi, her name is Kelly and she was actually able to follow up with Sharlou. They had lunch together and from what I heard they had great conversation!

Thank you to Nettie for letting me follow her around and document her day. If you’d like to follow her journey you can go to her blog at https://nettieclawson.theworldrace.org/.

As always, thank you for reading and stay tuned for more updates!
