In the morning, Noah, Christiaan, and I went to the MBK mall 7th floor and had reverse culture shock. Games and food were everywhere and we couldn’t help but wander around in amazement of seeing so many things we had been deprived of over the past two months. Noah and I ended up buying a small wooden chess set to take with us for when we are back in a place without anything to do.
Heading back to the hostel was an adventure. Most of the Tuk-Tuk drivers don’t actually know where to go even when we hand them the hostel business card. Our 15 minute driver ended up taking two hours before we recognized a building we saw from our rooftop and had the guy stop. Trekked through some dark and sketchy roads, but ended up where we needed to be.
More towel competition this night too. I was sitting in my cubicle after, minding my own business as I was singing some hymns when I get jumped by the rest of the guys. I guess they just don’t appreciate good musical talent.
