Church here is pretty cool. These Hondurans really get into their worship music. Some of the songs are similar to back at home just translated. Today the church had a translator for the sermon so we could understand. It’s too bad that about half of the people have been sick and couldn’t make it.

After lunch, Spencer and I went to pick up Esther from her break away from us. She and I took Ryan Hennessy to the clinic after lunch to get his fever checked out. Got him back home, and headed to the hospital to find this specialist. Turns out he doesn’t even live in the Valley, so I set up an appointment for Tuesday with another shoulder doctor. Got some Pollolandia chicken and snow cones before coming back home to beat Mr. James at chess repeatedly. Flicked some more matches tonight, and I have 3 holes in my pants.

Another talk with Gracie tonight. Needing some advice, I gave her the answer she didn’t want but needed to hear. Somehow it seems like when I feel least ready to do something, I’m asked to step up. Lately been feeling like my maturity has been slipping and had been praying last night for redemption. The whole day I have been feeling like I need to get myself ready, to be more mature before I can help someone else grow. I guess it is like what Tennesse said at debrief, “God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called.” Seems to be a resounding theme this week.
