Far less eventful morning thankfully. Needed a break to just clean after yesterday. After lunch my team and I went out to the old train station to pray for the homeless. It had been a while since the last time we went, but I remember praying to God that I hoped to have someone that spoke their language and would come into the lives of these people. The last person we prayed for pulled out a wooden cross he wore on his neck. How awesome to see my prayer answered!
Went to Vanna’s Pagoda, and since he was in class, we prayer walked around the place. The one thing that kept coming to my mind is that these guys who join the monkhood are either there for free housing and education, or they legitimately want to pursue the tug on their heart to search for a higher calling. As I walked around, I was praying for the latter. These guys who take it serious are looking for peace within. Buddhism is all about trying to find inner peace, and they work at it their whole lives. I prayed that these guys would be willing to ask the hard questions about what the law on our hearts actually says, and that the opportunity for them to meet a Christian that can explain it to them would be available.
After that, Gracie and I went to the park and walked around. I said I felt like I needed to talk to a white person, and later that it was a woman. (If you read this Gracie, I was asking God what we should do after the pagoda and He wanted me to talk to you. He just didn’t want me to mention it yet.) So, I talked with Gracie. Hopefully I said or she said what was needed to be said!
