Training camp was a blast!
When I showed up at camp, I wanted to be left alone to do my own thing and learn what I needed to learn. I am so glad it didn’t turn out like that. Meeting my squad mates and getting to be a part of the community we had was awesome! Most know me as the guy who wants to be a secluded mountain man, but this group makes me want to be with people!
In addition to getting to be with this amazing bunch, I learned so much at camp. I went in not knowing what to expect when I’m on the field, and now I feel over prepared. Many sessions were emboldening and I can’t wait to use the skills I learned in my whole life.
This has been exactly what I needed, and it has given me an extra boost to my already high excitement for this trip. I’m so thankful for everything God has been doing to prepare me for this trip! I can hardly wait to get out in the world and spread the gospel!
