Hello everybody!! It has been a while since I have posted on here and I know I am no longer on the race, but I have been thinking about a blog a lot these last few months and I thought why not reach out.

I am taking a break from social media, due to what’s been going on in this world, I just want to remember that God is the only one that’s true and to focus on. With that, I had to share a couple moments with you that I thought was awesome.

Last week I got an email from Compassion International, this is a child sponsorship program- I sponsor two lovely children. Anyway they had sent out a guide. This was a prayer guide. I read over the email and realize wow, imagine everyone just praying for the same thing, even if it were like 1% of the world’s population, compassion centers, pastors, sponsors, children all over the world praying for the same thing, man talk about unity! “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” – Psalm 133:1. I just finished day 3 this evening and I wanted the chance to share it with more people and I realized it’s better to join in late than never. The link for this prayer guide is at the bottom of this blog.

I also had a good facetime call with my cousin the other night and he pointed out 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, “When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” This is a good verse for me to reflect on when it comes to what the world is going through now. I really loved what my cousin said, He felt like this is a time where God is saying, “Slow down, sit back and relax. Stop relying on movie theatres, food, and all these worldly things, when all you can have is Me.” That was such a cool point of view! What really stuck out to me is prayer. Here I am in the middle of a prayer guide provided by compassion to have God’s people join in unity.

In my study bible it explains these verses, “This verse summarizes God’s chosen way of restoration, which is through prayers for revival in all places. The promised results: (of prayer) God will hear this prayer, will cleanse from sin, and will bring healing where it is needed – for the church, for the nation, and for the people.”

It says nation people. All we need to do as God’s people is join in unity in prayer. No, you don’t have to follow this prayer guide that I am following, but it lead me to this verse and God just said, “hey don’t forget about Me, I’m right here.” Simply say a prayer when you get up, when you go to bed, when you’re on a break in the middle of your day. Together we can bring this nation through anything, but it takes unity, prayer and time. Think about something that you’re struggling with, or something that you wish could change; open your heart and find out how you can pray for it.
