Hi this Anna, Elyssa and Shea! We are reaching out as the final 3 on our squad that have yet to be fully funded. We would like to thank you for what you’ve already done to support us and our squad. Your sacrifice means a lot to us. In order to meet our final goal, we are reaching out again to ask for continued financial support. The questions below are to help you get to know us a little better!
Why did you come on the race?
Anna: I came on the race to serve on the mission field so people can have an encounter with Jesus and so that I could experience a year of self-denial and personal growth, living radically as Jesus calls us to live.
Elyssa: God used a series of events and people to tell me to go.
Shea: I was invited to step outside of life as I created so that he could teach me how to pursue life as he desires for me.
One word to describe your journey. Why?
Anna: Growth – I’ve learned so much on this journey about myself and about God. The race is such a growth incubator. And we’re only halfway!!
Elyssa: Mind-blowing – I was not prepared for the amount of healing, growth, and friendships that God has given me so far.
Shea: Worthy – a journey of finding my worth in him and shedding light on the worth in others through Christ.
What are you looking forward to?
Anna: I’m looking forward to new cultures, experiences, and being kicked in the butt by Asia! It’s gonna be cool to see the depths God takes me to in Asia, not just in my relationship with him but also with my team.
Elyssa: Continued growth, healing, and connection with God and others.
Shea: Looking towards more relational ministry; getting to build personal connections and share the gospel.
What would it mean to you to be fully funded?
Anna: Being fully funded would be such a cool testimony of the lords power through the church body back in the states. You all have such an important part in our journey.
Elyssa: I would no longer have to take a day away from ministry to focus on fundraising but would be able to devote every day to being present where I am.
Shea: It would mean another display of God’s provision and a tangible example of God is moving through the global church.
