Spreading the love of Jesus.
The Lord has brought me to an amazing, beautiful opportunity. Next year, I will be traveling, backpacking, and being Jesus hand’s and feet to people around the world. The more I think about the World Race, the more excited I am to go!
One of the reasons I am so pumped about this trip is to get to share Jesus’ love. His love is so good and so complete. He loves abundantly, eternally, and fiercely. Loving Him is the greatest thing I will ever do and, as His daughter, I am called to share His love with others. We are all called to share this love!
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And, remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

The World Race is a year of mission work. Day to day ministry for racers can vary (see other racers’ blogs for stories about life on the mission field!). Some days, racers wash clothes. Some days, they run camps and VBS for kids. Some days, they build things. I know that we will get some unique ministry opportunities though out the year. We spend the year loving the people God loves- the people He died for! I am so excited to see people know Jesus and learn more about His love for them.
For you were called to be free, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.

I hope and believe that the Lord will use me in so many ways while I’m abroad. But, one of the things I am most excited about is the way the Lord will grow my faith. As I see Him move and work in communities and families all over the world, I know I will experience His love and His power in so many new ways. I can’t wait to see what He is doing in the global body of Christ!
Some days, I get a little nervous when I think about the Race. I will be gone for 11 months from my home and from all things familiar. I will be living out of a backpack and a tent. But, I know that the Lord will never let me fall. He holds me, He protects me, and He loves me. I know that seeking Him and drawing near will yield a closeness to Him that will last my whole life. Forsaking comfort and familiarity to follow Him is not a mistake.
Please join me in prayer over this trip! Please pray for my fellow World Racer’s and for us to draw near to the Lord as we prepare to leave. Please pray that we would meet our fundraising goals and stay healthy! Please pray for the people we will meet on the trip- that the Lord would call them to Himself and that they would accept His love and His sacrifice.
