It was our last day at debrief when me, Bailey, Casey, and Annie walked into the Vans store and met our friend Precious. She introduced herself quickly and asked us about ourselves and America. She told us that she wants to be a movie star because her heart is in acting. We also talked about tattoos for a while and she was shocked when she saw that I had ink on my body. She told me that I looked too innocent for them.
Precious told us about her sweet daughter Nondumiso. I showed her pictures of my dear friend Nondumiso that I had met in Swaziland and that meant the world to her.
After chatting for a while, we asked if we could pray with her right there in the front of the Vans store, and she was all for it. We went around and prayed for her time going into the military. We prayed for her sweet baby girl. We prayed that she could follow her dreams to go to America. Precious leaned over to me and asked for us to pray for her baby’s father. He has a brain tumor. So we immediately prayed for his healing.
Once we were done she told us that while all of our eyes were closed and heads were bowed, she saw a very bright light that took away all of the darkness in her life. I believe that the Lord was right there with us standing in the circle. I think that He was so excited that we finally met our friend Precious.
Since we didn’t join the rest of the squad that day on the safari, we were able to meet this beautiful person and pray for healing. God had us right where He wanted us that day.
