When I signed up for the World Race I had it in my mind I was going on a “mission trip” for a year, that is still true but my thought of what I am doing has changed. While being on the race this mission trip has turned into so much more than a mission trip to me, it is my life. This is a year of my life serving Jesus with everything I have, without anything holding me back.

This year has been one that I will remember and talk about for the rest of my life. I have grown, learned and been stretched in ways I didn’t know I needed to be. The work I have done each month is my job for last year. I have seen country’s I loved and some not so much love haha. I have done office work, manual labor, home visits, taught English, i even got to teach Disney songs to kids. Everything I have been a part of this year has helped shape me.

I have made friends that I will have for the rest of my life. I have lived in a community of believers that push me to dive deep with them and develop my relationship with Jesus. There are not many type of communities that you live, eat, work and sleep with. There have been mountain tops and valleys in this journey just like if I was at home.

I love my life. My life is waking up and asking Jesus what is my next step? Who should I have a conversation with? Each month I get to experience a new country, new culture and new people. By the end pf this year I will have experienced 11 different countries. That is not something that many people can say. In a span of a year I have lived in 11 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, WHAT THAT IS CRAZY!

Thank you to each one of you who helped me get here. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity you gave me. I am in awe of the things I have been a part of for the last year.

So when I get back to the states in less than 2.5 months, please don’t ask me how my trip was. Ask me what the Lord taught me, What did you love about Chile? Ask what God showed me about myself, what He showed me about Him.

There is so much to share and I want to share it all with you but please understand, this year was so much more to me than a mission trip. This year was an amazing adventure I took with Jesus and learned, grew and saw more than I ever thought I would.

See you all soon!
