275 days left before I launch out of the U.S to Indonesia and then into 10 other countries. That seems like a long time but I have a feeling it is going to go fast.

As I prepare for this there is a couple ways you can help and I wanted to take an opportunity to share with you these ways: Financial, Encouragement, Prayer, Referrals/ Word of Mouth.

Financial

Financial support is one of the simplest ways to help. While as straightforward as it is, earning $17,400 is in no way going to be possible without God behind the success of it. I know that in the same way God prompted me towards this mission trip, He will prompt others to help me get there. So, will you prayerfully consider partnering with me through donation? All donations are tax deductible!! Go through this blog site when donating: Click the Orange “Donate!” button towards the top right of the home page and You will be directed through the quick process of making a one-time or monthly donation.

Help Stick Me on The World Race

I have made a sticky note visual to help people see what it will take to get me there which I am pretty excited about. I have broken up the sticky notes with each color representing my deadlines along the way. Each color is numbered sequentially in dollar amounts to meet my deadlines, all starting at $1. For example, Blue starts at $1 and ends at $100, which when all the stickies are added up together equals $5,050. This gets me to my first deadline goal. I have broken this up so that the highest dollar amount on any of the stickies is $100. As people donate into my account $1, or $83, I remove the corresponding sticky dollar value from the map. When we see the whole map (all the stickies are gone) yall have officially helped me get to my $17,400 goal exactly and stuck me on The World Race! It is easy to donate by following the same instructions up above!
My Deadlines to get fully funded:

September 28, 2017       $5,000 (blue sticky notes are gone)

December 18, 2017        $10,000 (blue and green sticky notes are gone)

February 28, 2018          $13,000 (blue, green, and purple sticky notes are gone)

April 30, 2018                $17,400 (all sticky notes are gone)

As you notice two of these deadlines are after I launch in January 2018. Hopefully these mini goals will be met in advance of their deadlines, and I will have yall to thank (my family, my friends, my siblings in Christ, and the generous, compassionate hearts I meet along the way)! I will be continually posting picture updates of the progress of the board. Also if you would rather give something besides money there are some things I need for my trip to the right side of the board in the photo!

Encouragement

We are humans and we are meant for fellowship and can’t get by without help from others in life. As it says in Hebrews 10:24-25:

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

I will need people building me up and helping me see the truth no matter how hard or how low times get. Like every human being I have some days that are better than others and throughout it all, I need encouragers that will push me and speak words of kindness, and love over me. Hearing uplifting words will build up my heart and mind, and will help me prosper. So, I would ask that when you feel prompted, follow that inclination and comment your heart out!  This will be a major encouragement to me and will help me to stay strong on this path I am following. Your own prayer requests or needs are welcome to my ears because fellowship and encouragement is not a one-way street and I would like to uplift yall as much as I can. This is why I am asking you to partner with me and not just be my money or my help.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
-Proverbs 27:17

Prayer

Throughout my preparation for and on The World Race, prayer is the most important thing I will need. I need prayer warriors out there of all different ages and strengths. Prayer for protection (physical and spiritual) for sure, as I step outside the very free and accepting America, into places with stricter rules and less government involvement. Other prayer needs include:

  • preparation of our hearts to carry out our team’s mission
  • preparation in the hearts of the people we meet to be open to the Good News we are there to tell them about
  • strengthened confidence to walk out in faith when prompted
  • to disregard acceptance in the world as my main motivation and be content with the acceptance of God
  • my public speaking nervousness
  • unity in my team as we band together for the sake of the Kingdom (including living in close quarters as an introvert myself, haha)
  • for God to reveal himself to unbelievers.

Of course, any other things you can think of will just be icing on the cake and of the same importance!

Referrals/ Word of Mouth

I can poster, post, shout my passion about this adventure off the roof tops but it will only get me so far.  I have a web of people around me that have been connected to me in various ways throughout my life. But there are people in yall’s webs I will never reach without your help. Helping me spread the word of what I am doing is a tremendous service to me. If you know of anyone that might be interested or could possibly help me, please send my information their way or put me in contact with them.  Another way to help is to recommend me and this mission to your church missions board or appropriate department. I am serious about this venture in my life. I am sure about it and I know this is where I need to be right now and I don’t mind talking about that to anyone who will listen.

I appreciate ANY effort you put in towards me and I cannot put into words how overjoyed I am and how it touches my heart when I hear and see what people have done. I do not take lightly, even what you may consider a small gift or prayer, because I know it is easy to do nothing, but so worth it to me that you have thought enough to do something.

TTFN,

Jenny
