I find myself sitting in a little bakery in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. I am alone and I’ve never been more proud to be a World Racer. This month is our first ATL month- Ask The Lord. We do not have a set ministry or a set host but we are daily depending on the Lord to tell us what He wants us to do. We may stay here in this city and do coffee shop ministry, or travel to the edges of Nepal and visit the rural villages and tell them about Jesus, or trek the mountains and minister to the hundreds of backpackers that are traveling the world searching for something more. We have full reign to let the Spirit work through us in dozens of ways. I find myself constantly asking “Okay, God, what do you want from me today? Who do you want me to encounter?” We make friends with the waiter at dinner or cab driver or the random woman on the street. We are loving the people in front of us and I’m learning to apply this “life is ministry, ministry is life” mentality. It’s not easy, it’s uncomfortable, it forces me to be bold for Christ, but we are doing it.

I also have a new team. Let me introduce you to them! Our team name is W.o.W. which stands for Women of Wonder. The word WONDER has a big meaning to us. It first came to me through my movie fanatic brain and God giving me visions of us fighting the enemy like Wonder Woman did in the movie during the no mans land scene. We want to be warriors for Christ and do it with bravery and compassion similar to how Gal Gadot portrays her in the movie. But the word WONDER is also about sitting in awe of our Creator; in worship, in amazement, and in complete humility of the God that we serve. We want to sit in Wonder at how God uses us and CHOOSES to use us! We never want to let our life with God be ordinary or mundane, we never want to get used to the life He has for us. We choose to sit in awe of our God and to live out bold and fearless lives as warriors. We want to be Women of Wonder.

Let me introduce you to these Women of Wonder…

Tayler- She is our Team Leader and the spunkiest and funniest woman I’ve ever met. She leads with grace and humility and boldness everywhere she goes. She is from Michigan and has a heart for foster care and looks adorable in overalls.

Megan- She is an incredibly talented and passionate artist that blows me away with her God given talent. She is excited about studying the Word and diving into deep theological conversations. She’s from Wisconsin and was really excited to have a honey latte this morning.

Jazz- She is an incredibly compassionate and loving human being and just watching her live life out loud inspires me. You can always find her dancing to Wale or making a friend with a stranger. She is from Virginia and is currently sharing a bed with me.

Lauren- She is like the big sister I never had and the most life giving and comforting woman to be around. She is our treasurer and such a wise and encouraging specimen to walk this earth. She is from Illinois and loves to talk about her cats or her beautiful niece.

Grace- She is the most hilarious partner in crime there ever was. She and I share the same dreams and I am constantly inspired by her prayers and dreams and boldness and hope to do life with her for many years to come. She is from Connecticut and is currently in search for cute overalls like Tayler has.

I want some overalls too.

I’m excited for this next month and what God has for us. My team is spending the first few days in Kathmandu, really sitting with the Lord and being intentional with each other and then… we’ll we don’t know! We are still waiting for God to tell us!

So… we are going to go ask Him and then I’ll get back to you on what He says.

All my love,

JJ
