Better late than never, right?
I jumped straight into ministry here in Jamaica, but not without reflecting and capturing what happened for me and my squad in Month 2 in the Dominican Republic.
It was a different kind of month where the entire squad of 40+ people lived in one place. We came with willing hearts and hands, ready to do whatever our ministry hosts needed.
We partnered with Hope for the Dominican Republic started by the Dominguez family and our days there had something different in store every day. Some days we helped out on their property digging trenches, sorting wood, or making roofs to help their campus. Other days we hoped in the van and joined them at some of their children’s centers downtown and put on a program for kids. We spent a lot of time in prayer whether walking through the town we lived in, praying over families that were involved in Hope for the D.R., or praying against the spiritual warfare that plagued this ministry. And more often then not, we found our own ministry like building relationships in town through basketball or snack runs, or just really pouring into each other and spending intentional time with the Lord to prepare us for the months ahead.
It was a month where my intimacy with God took to a whole new level and my prayer life skyrocketed. It was a month where I watched friend after friend become delivered from demons that followed them their entire lives and finally walk in freedom.
I watched kids smile, deeper friendships form, community come together, and my heart for the Lord grow.
I could go on and on about what happened last month, but I will let the photos and video speak for themselves.
