This month in Haiti was a wonderful start to the World Race. I have been so honored to serve our hosts at Grace So Amazing and see their dedication to this ministry and their desire to take care of children no matter what the cost. It has been quite the experience to come alongside teachers at Grace Academy and serve them in any way that I could. I was incredibly inspired this month by the missionaries that we came alongside.

I was thankful to work with a group of kids where God was still molding their story. I got to be the hands and feet that loved these munchkins and showed them a small portion of His love. For that I am forever grateful. I played with children who probably should have died but God said “I am not finished with this story yet.” To be able to step into that story if even for just a few weeks is phenomenal to me. I got to watch a little girl hold a marker and pair of scissors for the first time and complete her first week of school. I got to make children laugh at school who may or may not have the best family life back at home. I’m thankful I got to be joy to them.

I am currently in the Dominican Republic right now at debrief with my entire squad. We are taking intentional time with each other and with our leaders to really look back on the month. I actually didn’t realize how hard it was for me in a lot of areas and this time is so important. What has been super helpful in processing the whole month has been looking at my photos that I took. Sometimes it brought tears to my eyes and other times loads of laughter. I wanted to take a moment and share with you some of my favorite photos of the month and a video of reflection of our time at Grace Academy to give you a better picture into the beauty of God’s love in Haiti.

My all time favorite photo of the month I could not upload but is the Summary photo/thumbnail photo of this blog. It is the reaction of my precious girl Magdala as she completed her first week of school and finally learned how to write the letter A. What a joy. So blessed to be able to capture that.
