Welcome to my World Race blog!
I’d like to share a little about myself! My name is Jacob Pourroy and I am almost 19. I have a wonderful family which is made up of my parents, one brother, two sisters, and myself. We have lived in Lakeland, Florida, my entire life but honestly I’d rather be in the mountains! We like to spend as much time there as possible with family in Virginia. On May 15th, I graduated and I couldn’t be more excited!
During my entire senior year, I have been unsure of a career path and when I came across the World Race, I felt like this might be just the right thing for me at this time in my life. I went to Nicaragua in 2012 and it was at that time I knew that missions had taken a place in my heart. After taking some time to pray and seek God’s direction, about the World Race, I felt like this was what He would have me to do. So, here I am on this journey of faith, trusting that He will direct my every move and help me to raise the money needed to go on this journey. I am anxious to see what God has in store for me. I look forward to sharing the love of Jesus with people in other cultures, seeing the many places He directs us to go, and experiencing the uniting presence of the Lord where culture and language try to separate us.
I will try my best to keep you updated as often as I can as this journey continues! Thank you for your prayers, support, and love through all of this. I have been blessed by so many of you already.
