Hello Friends and Family!
I am currently finishing up my last semester of undergrad with Liberty University! I am graduating THIS week with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Global Studies and I am very eager to see how God uses it to further His kingdom. Throughout my years at Liberty University, God continued to shape and mold His desires into my heart for the nations and souls around the world who have not heard the good news of Jesus Christ. With that being said, I am SO excited to share with you that I have been accepted into a missions program called The World Race!
The World Race is a program associated with a mission’s organization called Adventures in Missions. It is an 11 month mission’s trip to 11 different countries where we go and partner with the missionaries in each country to share God’s love and meet the needs of the community. Each month could look different, depending on the places we go and the missionaries that we are working a long side of. As a team, we may be given the opportunity to visit orphanages, work with special needs children, put on children’s services/VBS, do street evangelism, work with human trafficking victims, speak in churches, do manual labor, teach English in the schools, create and cultivate life changing relationships and much more! Wherever God wants us to go and whoever God wants us to talk to, that is what we will do. Be the hands and feet of Christ; that is our mission for the year.
I am also so excited to bring you along with me on this journey. One way you can follow along with me on my journey is by checking this blog or by clicking on the SUBSCRIBE button under my picture, which will alert you when I post a blog post while on the World Race! I will also be sending monthly email updates about how my team and I are doing, what we are up to, and what God is doing in each country we visit.
I would greatly appreciate your prayers and support! First and foremost, please pray for our team, which is still forming. Our launch date is January 12th or 13th 2018, which seems far away, but will come fast! Pray that God will prepare our hearts and the hearts that we will meet and encounter. My team and I will be going to Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, India, Nepal, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.
We also need prayer for safety, provision, and good health. Another way you all can help support me is by donations! I have to raise about 17,700 dollars, which goes toward my food, lodging and flights for the year. I cannot get to my goal by myself. I ask that you pray and consider supporting me on my trip, if the Lord is prompting you. Every amount, no matter how big or small matters and will be used by God! If you would like to give financially, you can go to my blog and click on the donate tab to the right of my picture, which will bring you to a page where you can donate – please make sure to put my full name, Hannah Gustafson, into the Participants name box so the funds go directly into my account.
You can also give by sending a check in the mail to “Adventures in Missions.” If you are giving by sending a check in the mail, please put my name in the memo life, and only use one check per envelope. It would mean the world to me to partner with you all to make God known and to share His love to those throughout the nations!
