On Gap L’s way to India we took a side detour to Ecuador for this thing called the Awakening. It’s a couple days where three squads and local hosts from the country get together worship and refill each other on what the Lord has been doing in their life. It was awesome, I got to be a point person on the intersession team for the weekend. Which means that I got to help out with interceding for others through praying by listening to what the Lord wants them to hear. One of the cool things we had were breakouts which consisted of intersession, worship, evangelism, and hospitality; so these groups could do whatever they wanted to do in there slotted time. My favorite aside from intersession was Evangelism because the Lord had some really cool things happen.
I put myself into a group that had two of my squad mates on it and the rest were from Gap P. We went to a park that had a whole bunch of sport courts and fields, naturally when we got there we found a nice spot and prayed first so we were on the same page as the Lord. We got a couple things that the Father wanted us to seek out. Stuff like dancing, a red hat, a pole with something sticking out of it, and a weird looking circle with a line going through it.
Joel and I started by just praying for a couple people that we felt needed it. Then we sat down with a man and tried with our best Spanish to have a conversation with him but I don’t think he wanted to have one because he got up and walked away within a couple minuets of us talking to him. After that we just decided to walk around and talk a little bit and all of a sudden we both ran into this older man that another girl in our group had also ran into at the same time; naturally we started a conversation with him. Turns out this older man had on a hat that had the same symbol on it that the girl saw and thats why she stopped to talk to him. as Joel, Hannah Grace, and I got to talking to him the Holy Spirit is literally translating for Joel as the man speaks. I mean I could understand a decent amount of the Spanish this man was saying but Joel who doesn’t know to much Spanish actually understood what he was saying.
**Joel gave a pep talk about this before we left to do evangelism because he didn’t want us to limit what the Holy Spirit could do including being our translator for conversations.
Talking to him seemed to last for minuets even though it lasted for about two hours. We came to find out that he is a catholic and loves praying for the people of the world and their salvation. He invited us to a night of prayer at the park we think but we couldn’t make it due to our schedule. He went to go fix the netting for one of the badminton courses because that is his job, but to do it, this man went up this giant white pole that had a short shinny pole sticking out the top of it to hang the rope for the net on it. This is the same image that the Lord gave to one of the other guys on our group. When he came back he started to talk about dancing and took a couple steps of his own. Then the three of us got him to understand what we mean’t when we asked if we could pray for him. He got down on both knees and started to ask for forgiveness, then prayed for the world, and lastly for the people in the park that they would become prophets for the nations. All of us got up and then shook hands and said good bye.
I mean what a prayer to have experienced it was honestly beautiful the way he confessed his sins right in front of us and then prayed for all the people in the park. Not only his prayer but can we talk about the fact that The Holy Spirit is AMAZING. He literally translated for us even we thought that it wasn’t going to happen; got to love Him am I right.

Well I just thought I would share this cool story with you guys hope you like it.
