Can you believe it’s been nearly three months since I returned to the States?! Me neither! These three months have been a little bit of everything: restful, busy, stressful, lonely, joyful – you name it, it was felt.

I think one of the most difficult virtues to practice this season has been patience. Within the first week being home, I was being asked “what’s next?” “What are you doing now?” And I had to learn how to be okay saying “nothing.” I was ready to jump into the next thing, ready to have a job just like everybody else in my life. But God asked me to wait; and for me, waiting is HARD. But God has a funny way of blindly preparing us for His greater plan.

About one week after I found peace in practicing stillness, in not knowing the next step, God very ironically and very clearly revealed His next step for me. He was speaking so clearly through people around me, people I’d never even met, and it STILL took me some time to get on board. But of course, He was persistent and as each day of wrestling passed, it became more clear that I had to say “yes,” even if I didn’t want to. Even if I was hesitant. Trust in the Lord’s plan is greater than my own desires and according to Him, this “yes” would change my life.

So what was that yes, you ask?

…..

In March, I’ll be moving to MIJAS, SPAIN for nine months!

Generation 42 (G42) Leadership Academy is a nine month intensive discipleship program created to equip leaders of this generation. (Check out their website  if you’d like to learn more about their beliefs, mission and what the name Generation 42 means!)

I am called to lead people to Christ through worship. I don’t know what that looks like specifically but I know I want to chase it with all I have. And at G42, I will be mentored, challenged in my faith and equipped to go out in the world confidently with this gift in which the Lord has entrusted me.

G42 is split up into 3 trimesters and explained below: ***credit to G42 website for all my words

March – May In the classroom in Mijas, Spain. Teachings in the first three months are focused on the core teachings of Christ, and becoming men and women who cannot be stopped in our pursuit of Christ and His Kingdom. I’ll be living dorm style with my classmates in Mijas, a small coastal city, engaging in the neighborhood and my own community with whom I live.

June – August On the mission field, practicing and applying the concepts taught in the first three months, and actively living out the way of Jesus. Interns will practice living above the fog, not circumstantially or emotionally, as they release the Kingdom of God. We will be placed in another part of the world for these three months, potentially back in America, by ourselves or with one other classmate, participating in a practicum of sorts. (I have an idea of what these three months will look like and where they’ll be but before it’s finalized, I’m keeping it a secret )

September – November Back in the classroom solidifying lessons, sharing practicum lessons, and celebrating together. Teaching will focus on practical application, and preparing interns to launch into a new way of life after G42.

And as is the case in the life of a missionary, I will be fundraising for this next year. For classes, travel to my practicum, tuition, food and housing, I will need to raise a total of $10,500. On top of that, I am flying home for my best friend’s wedding in November so I am looking to raise a total of $11,000.

I’ll be reaching out in further detail for fundraising opportunities but for now, I ask you to prayerfully consider investing in this journey, whether it be financially or prayerfully. The World Race was made possible because of the incredible community that supported me; every little bit counts and I am SO blessed by those of you that rallied behind me!

Below is the link to make donations. If you scroll down to March 2019 class in a few days, my profile will be set up!

If you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to learn more, PLEASE reach out! I want to invite everybody in on this journey, one that I’m personally very excited and to be honest, a little nervous about. THANK YOU for reading through this and in advance for your love and support.

Let’s do this thing!
