Sunday nights are always me and my dad. We make the hour long trek to midtown Atlanta once a week to go to our home away from home- passion city church. Usually we go, we worship, we learn, and we drive home. Thats how it normally goes. But last week, it went a lil different.

I ran into a friend from high school and two friends from my lil town, and decided to hitch a ride home with them. About 20 minutes from home, in a  shopping center I had drove past a thousand times, was this mmm how do i put this??? ghetto wing place. Naturally named “Atlanta’s Best Wings”.

We pulled in, and Jesus showed up.

Side note— the Lord has been showing me the true meaning of never ending servitude and missional living. and I’m loving it. Love who the Lord puts in front of you. Thats my wisest words.

Immediately when we walked in, we were cutting up. The 3 guys I was with can’t help but bring joy wherever they go. It’s contagious. And everyone in there got a lil bit of the joy bug that night. It allowed for conversations to be free and open and genuine.

The sweet ladies who worked behind the counter were pure gold. But sadly enough, I doubt they get recognized. As people, as women, and as friends. Naturally, we stepped up and subconsciously filled that role. As love-givers. Attention-givers. Laugh-givers. Jesus-givers.

They opened up, and when they did, We told them about church. We got to tell them about where we just where and who we were just worshipping. AND THE COOLEST PART- one of the sweet girls was interested. and so WE, four 18 year old kids who just happen to stop at a wing place, got to invite her to come home.

What, An, Honor.

She now has the name and address of Passion City Church, along with my phone number which i pray she uses!!!!!

Now- that was cool. but it didn’t stop there.

When we opened up the church conversation, I noticed a guy in the back of the restaurant eating alone. As soon as we mentioned Passion city Church, he perked up and said something along the lines of “oh, thats seriously cool!”.

This is Joshua. He attends Grace Midtown Church In Atlanta. And his gift is prophecy.

And after talking to him, and getting to know him, over a plate of the best chicken wings we had ever had- he asked to speak over us.

Two of us agreed. Me and my friend Matt.

Here is what he had to say-

  1. He said that I would find newfound intimacy in the secret place with our father.
  2. He feels like the Lord is leading me to intercession in my prayer life.
  3. That the Father is gonna put a ring on my finger. All my worth and value would be found in Him.
  4. Restoration for my family.
  5. That I would have the ability to breathe life on dry bones. + the authority of empowerment given to women, for women.
  6.  Harilah Cunnington

We stopped for chicken wings, and got a bit more than we bargained for.

Once again, I’ll take His divine timing over mine ANY, DAY.

We impacted lives for the kingdom, and someone impacted our lives to further the kingdom.

THANK YOU FATHER.

For allowing me to be your hands and feet, even on a Sunday night, at 9:30pm, at a chicken wing joint.

You are good, you have no boundaries.

And for that, I will go to the ends of the earth- inviting people to come home.
