my Daddy is so dang good.
He saved me not for my sake but for the sake of His holy name,
Ezekiel 36
I received salvation so that my Daddy’s name will be proclaimed in all nations.

He has created each of us to go take the gospel, freedom, to the ends of the earth, and anything less than radical devotion to His purpose is unbiblical Christianity. From the book Radical by Brennan Manning

I don’t want to just talk about it but I want to be about it. I was reading James 1:22-25
“do not merley listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at her face in the mirror and after looking at herself immediately forgets what she looks like. But whoever looks at intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it- not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it- they will be blessed in what they do.
Our ministry these past 3 weeks has been cleaning 20 years worth of piled up trash in huge containers. Fun I know.
its been pointed out that we aren’t really doing ministry, or at least nothing like we were doing last month; door to door evangelism. And the Lord convinced me. He proceeded to open my eyes to how He is preparing us; just like when we get home not all of us will be working some church job. God may just call us to work normal jobs to bring His kingdom to those people in those places. And in this season of serving He is teaching me that in all things I can choose to be a vessel for Him to spread His kingdom or to not spread His kingdom. It’s my choice.
He gave me a vision of a table and ideally we want to go to a table with food already there. But this month He is calling me to bring the bread of Life to the table instead of expecting the opportunity to eat the food that is already there.
I’ve attempted to write this blog for 3 days now. And from writing this blog and being convicted by my own words, I’ve been practicing what I’m preaching.
I can’t even begin to describe the adventure the Lord has taken me on because I say yes and am obedient to His commands because I love Him.
To start off on my off day, Monday, in the morning God told me there will be a person that I will meet that needs forgiveness. And as we were trying to find a taxi home from eating Nando’s, God so divinely gave us our taxi driver and as we were driving home I was obedient to the Lords words and what He wanted to say to that man, Ishmael, through me for HIS glory. We got into a normal conversation and ended with Ishmael telling us about his struggles that he deals with every day. And a person in his life that they use to be great friends but Ishmael needs to forgive him for the way his friend wronged him. All this with the taxi driver that others would have written off, that I would’ve written off, if not for my asking of the Lord to open my eyes to opportunities everywhere to spread His kingdom.
Example number 2 of how fun life is when I am obedient: while I was in my room I over hear Ashley, Daven & Taylor meeting to talk about what the Lord spoke to them while they were praying for the Lorato House, the orphanage we live next to. God told me to go out and say what He told me to say ,again. It was about what God wants our team to do while we are here in Botswana. Which is a lot like the story of the Good Samaritan, how the Samaritan saw and acknowledged the broken man and reached under the man laying in the ground and as he was doing that he got his hands dirty. God was telling me that us as a whole here in Botswana are here to get down on our knees and say yes to getting dirty while picking up the people up off the ground whether they look broken or not and no heal them ourselves but to lift them up to the only One that can heal them.
Out of obedience with sharing that, all the things they heard from the Lord while praying all meshed together with mine and it was FREAKY COOL.
And today I had intentionally found time to talk to this sweet sweet man that had helped us out all day with a huge smile on his face,David. I had told him the word that God had shared with me about him. David took off his hat as I was speaking and said I made his week ,while having the biggest smile on his face. His joy brought me joy
Obedience has brought me to such adventurous times and it’s only been three days. I want to encourage YOU to join me on this adventurous and fruitful life God intended us to live.
Last quote I promise.
Romans 1:14-16
I am obligated to both Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.
Basically Paul is saying he owes a debt to every person on the face of the planet because he is owned by Christ, he owes Christ to the world.
I am not saying these examples to boast in myself but to give glory to the Lord so that you may be encouraged and inspired to do His will.
I’m growing in obedience to His will and it is the coolest thing. Please pray that I continue to grow and fight against complacency. And boldness and faith I’ve never experienced before in spreading His kingdom to the most unusual and unthought of places and people.
Whoop whoop finally compiled my thoughts to make sense. Praise.
