Three of my squad mates and I have been eyeballing IHop since before we got to tc so when we finally checked our big packs we went over. We ordered (I got to taste sweet tea for the first time because I was in Georgia and I think its only right) and waited a while to get our food. We talked about good movies and good books and when we finally got our food there was absolutely NO talking because we were all focused on thoroughly enjoying our first american food in 10 days.
We asked for the checks and while our waitress was getting them I heard The Lord telling me to bless our waitress, I argued with Him saying I can’t because I’m fundraising and He said ‘ Grace you AREN’T broke, bless my daughter’. So I told my friends I feel like the Lord wants us to bless our waitress and them being amazingly kind-hearted women of God were totally all for it. We collectively put together about 30$ for her and while holding the money waiting for our waitress to come I asked God what He wants to tell her and He gave me some words.
She finally came over with our receipts and change and I gave her the money and said ‘this is for you’ and I handed her the money and she thanked us. I told her the Lord has some words for you and I told her what the Lord told me,
‘I know your problems are very big but the Lord wants you to know that He is bigger than it all and He wants you to walk in ALL the freedom that He has given you, you don’t have to do anything but receive. and REGARDLESS of what you’ve done He still loves you so much you can’t even comprehend it, and He told me that He is pleased with you.’
She cried and was jokingly mad because the other world racers at another table also spoke life to her and made her cry and now we made her cry and we laughed about it. I gave her a big hug and reminded her again that Jesus loves her IMMENSELY,got all our bags on and headed out. While at the exit a squad mate pointed out that our waitress was in the back with two other coworkers crying and probably explaining to them what just happened. When I saw I just had so much peace in my heart, that without a doubt God is stirring up her heart and is doing only what He can do in this place.
I’ve been praying for her ever since and I want to ask that you all keep her in your prayers,I don’t know her name but the Lord knows her name :).
I wanted to share this with all of you because YOU INSPIRED ME. To the people who have so beyond gracious and generously donated to my race. You’ve definitely given me a new look on things, many of my supporters are people I’ve NEVER even met, yet they so graciously chose to support me, a stranger, because they firmly believe in spreading the Lords kingdom. It’s honestly beyond inspirational. I want to say a big thank you again to everyone. Because the Lord is GOOD and is faithful I am so ECSTATIC to announce I’ve already reached my second deadline of 10,000. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
