If you asked me three months ago, “Who are you?” I would have said:

My name is Grace Amelia Buxman.

I am 21 years old, born and raised in the beautiful and rainy city of Portland, Oregon. I have the five best brothers on planet earth and, two super rad parents. I’m a Pre-med student at Portland Community College, and a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor for Portland Parks & Recreation. Currently I am pursuing a career as a Pediatrician. Food is my love language, but I also really love Jesus, adventure, rainy days, hot tea, and fuzzy socks.

But today I say:

My name is Grace Amelia Buxman

I am lavished in the riches of my Father’s undeserved, unmerited, unearned favor.

I have found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

I work for Adonai, and what a sweet thing that is.

I am a defender, a protector, an ezer, a strong warrior fighting alongside my brothers and sisters in the battle for God’s Kingdom.

I am a princess, daughter of the Most High King.

I am His workmanship, chosen even before the foundation of the earth was breathed into motion.

I am made beautiful in everyway.

I am a tree, earnestly seeking the light, bending my leaves every which way.

I am growing.

I am a cactus, storing up an abundance of water.

Even in the dry seasons my thirst is quenched.

Living water flows from within me.

I am a vast and gentle ocean; a peacemaker.

I have color.

My color is yellow.

I am the warm Tuscan sun on your face, as a cool breeze whispers in your ear.

I am an expansive field of sunflowers.

I am joyful.

I have the keys to heaven.

I see things that other people don’t.

In the palms of my hands I hold wisdom.

I have important things to say.

I am His.

Loved is who I am.
