Wow 3.5 weeks is gone and we are saying goodbye to Australia. It was a great first month of this journey. The whole squad of 40 was together most of the time this month which made for some fun times getting to know each other on a deeper level. This also created some chaos, controlled chaos I will call it. Over 30 girls sleeping in one room is bound to form some sort of chaos 🙂
I feel like this month was a month of development. Development of community among us as a squad and also us in our smaller teams. This can be tricky sometimes when putting 40 independent adults together that have had their own agendas up until this point. I know there were times for me that a sense of an overwhelming / what did I get my self into set in. But choosing to sit in those feelings was not an option I was willing to take. So instead adapting and learning what it was going to take me doing daily to keep me sane and a productive part of this group.
Also development of a flexibility to a ever changing daily routine. I would say that I am a spontaneous person and don’t need a daily schedule to function, but I have learned how not having an idea of the day ahead can actually be a good test of patience when traveling with others. Patience is something I know I need to grow in and wanted to grow in and I have already seen how there is no doubt it will grow this year.
It is already so evident to me how challenging this year is going to be. Which is exciting and scary all at the same time. Challenge equals growth and growth is always a good thing.
Next up Indonesia. Stay tuned for this next month of adventures.
Here are a few pics from the last month.
