This month we are in Ecuador and I have a new team! We are in a place called Portoviejo and are working with a church doing kids ministry, working in a hospital and working at a men’s home! I can’t believe that we are already in Month 10 and flying back to the states is just weeks away! I decided to make a list of things I’ve been thankful for throughout the race and still am thankful for now.

•A bathroom inside

•A mattress with sheets

•being able to flush toilet paper (haven’t done that in a while)

•Hot water for showers

•Toilet paper

•An actual toilet

•A new team to learn from

•The Lord answering my prayers (that may seem absurd)

•That the Lord knows the desires of my heart

•That I can hear from the Lord

•Host prepared food

•Washing machine

•People that will listen to my ideas

•Month 10

•Knowing hat I am never alone in anything

•Uber

•My small Spanish vocabulary (it’s growing)

•beaches

•Sunsets on the beach

•People that work so hard (especially if they’re volunteers)

•That the Holy Spirit is inside of me and is so powerful

•Prayer is so powerful

•free tables

•cheap food/taxi rides

•malls

•street food

•clean drinking water that you don’t have to put bleach in

•learning about new cultures

•only having 30+ pounds of stuff that fits in one bag

•green tea

•smoothies

•people that make me try new foods

•That my relationship with the Lord is two sided

•That the Lords will is so much greater than mine

•the World Race and every person that I have met along the way

There are so many things to be thankful for and so many things that I have taken for granted when I was in the U.S. before the race. The Lord delights in us and our thankfulness for all that he has given us.

“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Philippians 4:6
